NC04 Weekly Round-Up

It's been another busy week for your NC04 Dedicated Neighbourhood Team, tackling crime, anti-social behaviour and safeguarding vulnerable people across Leicester.

🚲 Operation PedalFast Today: officers carried out Operation PedalFast across the city, resulting in 21 illegal vehicles being seized.

However, the operation isn't just about removing illegal vehicles from our streets. Time and again, these encounters lead us to wider criminality. During today's activity, officers carried out stop searches, recovered suspected drugs and made arrests for immigration offences, demonstrating how proactive policing can uncover and disrupt a range of criminal behaviour.

👥 Preventing Crime Before It Happens: Yesterday, PC Dean met with the Youth Offending Service and intelligence officers to share information and develop plans to help manage offending behaviour among young people. Working together in this way helps us identify those at risk of becoming involved in crime and anti-social behaviour and provides opportunities for early intervention.

🚗 Vehicle Crime Prevention: Following a report of criminal damage to a vehicle near Bath Lane, PC Katie carried out enquiries to identify the offender.

✅ Using locations covered by CCTV when available
✅ Ensuring vehicles are locked and secure
✅ Removing valuables from sight

❤️ Safeguarding a Vulnerable Person This week, PC Suhaib used excellent communication and interpersonal skills to help a person experiencing a mental health crisis on Southgates. Through calm conversation and reassurance, he was able to bring the incident to a safe conclusion and ensure the individual received the support they needed.
